Ok so :iconsonrenee: did this a while back and she was kind enough to go through my gallery and find 3 pieces she liked. It's a journal feature deal, here are the rules.

Rules:
1- Be one of the first 9 people commenting on this journal entry, and I will add you to The List.
2- For each of those 9 people I will put their avatar and three deviations I like from their gallery on the list.
3- If I feature you (me from my journal), you'll have to do the same in your journal, putting me the the first spot, completing The List this way with 10 people.

So here we go

1) :iconsonrenee:
:bulletblue:[link] It really is a beautiful piece.
:bulletblue: [link] I don't think I need to explain why I like this one ^^
:bulletblue: [link] Just love the colours that have been used her, a really nice piece.

And I will update with whoever wants me to pick my three faves in their gallery. ^^

Take care.

Any suggestions?

I hit the 5 month mark now in Japan, and I would say I have settled down a little more and am a lot happier. I have some good friends here, and overseas that make life easier. They know who they are.

But I have run out of good telly to watch and I am very much out of the loop. Are then any shows that are worth streaming?

Any suggestions are always welcome. I am bored and would always appreciate the advice. ^^

Take care.

Can I have an off switch for my brain please?

So I have hit my two month wall, this is when all the new and exciting things about the country you have moved to, wear off and you are left feeling a little homesick.
At the moment I miss England a lot, and my family and friends there. Here it feels like a lot of hard work with people, I can't be myself a lot of the time, and when I am, I tend to analyse everything I have said and done and how it could possibly be seen as a bad thing. I don't like doing this, it hurts my head and makes me feel nauseus, so if anyone has any advice that would be appreciated.
Also, my toilet is buggered in my house so I have to move all my stuff 10 meteres to the left in the next door house, which is empty. This is not helping me get settled I assure you.
I shouldn't gripe too much, as the people here are being very good to me and taking acre of me as best they can, it's just me being a pratt probably.

Take care ^^

2 months...really?

So I have been in Japan a total of 8 weeks now, it does not seem that long, but on the other hand it feels like I have been here forever, it is a strange feeling.
Things I have learned whilst being in Japan....
1) If they are eager for you to eat something, guranteed it is because they know most westerners don't like it! I have experienced nato twice now, it still feels like someone spit in my beans.
2) Having blue eyes here is a big confidence boost, you will be told you're beautiful, quite a bit.
3) You can go into a toy shop and not be the only 20 something without a child, looking at the dragionball z figures.
4) Not understanding Japanese tv is probably a bonus, as what they are actually saying will never be as amusing as the words I give them.
and 5) I am most likely going to die a withered husk in my house this August as my fluids will have been absorbed by the sun, it is hot!

But I am having a great time at the moment, I have made some good friends and I am looking forward to the summer holidays to explore a little more.
I don't have a scanner at the mo, so my art posting will be non existent for a while, but I will get one eventually!

Take care ^^

First week down.

So I have been in Japan for a week now, I started school on Monday and everything seems to be going well in that department but it's not something you can really be sure of with the Japanese.
The first week will always be the toughest, and it has been tough but it's been good as well, there have been a few new challenges and I dealt with them the best I can. If anything it is teaching me to worry less about what I can't do and just focus on what I can. I'll take pictures as soon as I get a camera so that everyone can see my town and the school where I work.
Take care.
